Lost Eden CHristmas Hunt Is Open

The hunt will be open to anyone in Second-Life who can access an Adult rated sim, with the exception of child avatars. If we find child avatars on the sim, we will ask them to change into an adult avatar, should child avatars refuse this request, they will be banned from the sim.

The hunt will start at the Lost Eden Landing point where you can pick-up the "clues note-card". The Christmas Stockings will be hidden all across the sim and public access areas and I will lead you on a merry chase. - Hunt Organiser - Rails Bailey

2014 Christmas Hunt at Lost Eden

Lost Eden ran a well received Christmas Hunt last year (2013) and we are running a Christmas Hunt this year.

The Hunt will begin on the 1st December 2014, and continue until the 24th December 2014.

Last year we used a Candy Cane as the item you had to find, this year we will be using a Christmas stocking.

The hunt will be open to anyone in Second-Life who can access an Adult rated sim, with the exception of child avatars.

Urban Zombie Sim in SL Goes to the Wall

So I got introduced to shooting zombies in SecondLife, it was fun, it was my way of relaxing, to let off steam.

 

Yesterday, 4th June 2016, one of the owners sent out this notice:

 

Attention Everyone, After A Four Year Run, We Are Calling It Quits.
The Sim Will Be Closed Within A Couple Of Weeks.
 We Want To Thank All Of Those That Supported Us During Our Run.

I wont name the owners, one of them is a decent person, the other, the guy, (I won't call him a gentleman), is something else to be believed.

 

So I was over at that sim today, 5th June 2014 and the guy is pulling out the level called Urbanus.

 

Now folks, in my book, 2 weeks means 2 weeks, not 2 seconds, not 2 minutes.

 

I can understand why someone would want to pull out of SL, paying US$ 300 per month only to have an empty sim sit there.

 

But lets get real, 2 weeks means 2 weeks. That's 2 weeks of enjoyment that folks could get until the final day comes.

 

Folks I have owned a sim in SecondLife, it takes seconds to clean a sim before it is returned to Linden Lab.

 

So much for Honour, end of rant.

The above notice went out after my rant in the group I was part of. Reality check here folks, if you own a sim and want to keep your reputation during the process, tell the truth, even if it hurts. The truth, no matter how hard to swallow at times, goes a long way. There was nothing that couldn't have stopped the sim owners asking the new owner for a two week grace period.

SecondLife celebrates its 11th Birthday this year. It is being called SL11B.

Second Life (SL) evolved as an idea by founder and former Linden Lab CEO, Philip Rosedale (aka Philip Linden). He envisioned a vast green, continuous landscape, distributed across multiple servers — and went on to build it. While he dreamed of virtual worlds since his childhood, in 1994, Rosedale first thought of connecting computers via the Internet and creating a virtual world. In 1999, he founded Linden Lab (LL).

SL9B saw residents take over the birthday since Linden Lab dropped the birthday ball. Some advertising blurbs that I have seen on the net make the claim "Run by residents for the residents". This is a false claim. The current resident run birthdays are certainly run by dedicated residents, yet adult exhibits are not allowed because of the rating of the event.

 

 

 

Previously there were only two ratings for map regions on the SL Main Grid: PG and Mature, and they were open to anyone to visit.

 

After 15 Sep 2009, publicly promoted Adult Content is supposed to be stored either on Regions on the newly built Zindra mainland "continent" or on private Regions having the Adult Region rating.

 

The SecondLife Birthday is rated as a Mature Event, this excludes Adult content. So in essence, the SL Birthday is not for ALL residents of SecondLife. ALL residents can attend if they so choose, but Adult rated exhibitions are not allowed. So much for fairness.

 

It is long overdue for adult rated content to be added to the SecondLife Birthdays. It is achievable, simply by  making the Sims that have adult content, rated as Adult Sims.

 

The Adult rated Sims in SecondLife contribute to the economy that keeps SecondLife alive, that is a fact.

 

Adults participate in SecondLife - that is also a fact. So to deny adult content in any SecondLife birthday event is blatant discrimination and you have to ask yourself "Is that fair?"

Lost Eden Christmas Hunt is Over

The first Lost Eden Christmas hunt is over, all the candy canes have been removed and the sim is more or less candy cane free, we hope you enjoyed the hunt and found something you can use. Thanks for participating.

Lost Eden Christmas 2013 Hunt

So what are you looking for - Candy Canes - ALL of the Candy Canes are Hidden somewhere on the sim, either at ground level or in some of the public sky-boxes. Due to the area search facility most SecondLife clients have, the candy canes are not called "Candy Cane" . Let the Hunt Commence.

 

The canes have been placed out and are now filled with goodies to find, I hate leaving things till the last minute.

 

The Clues Note Card can be found in the Welcome Area, not far from the landing point. Look underneath the rules board.

Christmas At Lost Eden

Christmas has come early at Lost Eden, one of the local builders - Tyrath has created a magnificent Christmas build above the main sim.

The owners of the Sim have gone that extra yard and put out a Members house for a mere token of 1 Linden and there are free gifts from Santa's Sack

Lost Eden Christmas Hunt - Update

The Lost Eden Christmas Hunt Starts on the 1st December and ends on the 25th December 2013

There are 25 items to find, each item will be hidden in a Candy Cane. The Candy Canes will be hidden all over the Lost Eden sim, at Sim level and in the public sky-boxes.

 

They will NOT be hidden in the Members Only sky-Boxes.

 

As per our last hunt, there will be a Clues Note Card made available to all who wish to participate in the Christmas Hunt. This note-card will be made available in the Lost Eden Welcome Area, close to the Landing Pad.

 

Please be advised, the Candy Canes will not be called Candy Cane.

 

Lost Eden is designated a Adult sim, so child avatars will not be allowed on the sim, if any member of staff see's a child avatar, they will either be asked to change into an adult form, if they cannot do this they will be asked to leave the sim.

Questions About Lost Eden - Answered

 IS LOST  EDEN ADULT?

 

Yes we are .. but the main sim is PG no sex though we have no objection to nudity as long as no erections or sexually explicit behaviour.

 

On the sim you can dance cuddle  dream and chat in many lovely surroundings, explore the Sim to find all the places -  but their are no sex animations allowed,  we consider ourselves romantic and friendly  and we are  unique in that we have an adult sim that allows adult behaviour in private in the members only private rooms, rather like a good hotel. What happens in private is up to you and your partner providing mutual consent has been granted.

The Lost Eden Christmas 2013 Hunt

The Lost Eden Christmas 2013 Hunt, will be different from the last hunt that we ran. In this hunt you will be looking for Candy Canes, but they wont be named Candy Cane, they will be named object or something equally obtuse.

 

Each Candy Cane will have a "Give Inventory Script to Anyone" and a Gift. All you have to do is find them.

 

The Candy Canes will be hidden all over the Lost Eden sim, at Sim level and in the public sky-boxes.

 

They will NOT be hidden in the Members Only sky-Boxes.

 

As per our last hunt, there will be a Clues Note Card made available to all who wish to participate in the Christmas Hunt. This note-card will be made available in the Lost Eden Welcome Area, close to the Landing Pad.

Lost Eden Island Hunt

Lost Eden in SecondLife is holding an island hunt.

 

18 Items to find at the Lost Eden hunt. Some of the items will blend in with their surroundings, some will be hidden.

Facing into danger the hunt will start on Friday 13th September 2013, and will run for 2 weeks.

 

The hunt will cover all of the actual sim, and some of the Public Sky Platforms.

 

The Clues Note Card will be placed in the Lost Eden Welcome Area on the 12th September 2013.

Adult HUB Central

Adult HUB Central, the gateway to adult secondlife has had a major overall, and one that is, in my opinion, going in the right direction as far a new-user experience goes.

 

The teleport brings you into a central hub, from which you can explore mini-islands and learn as you go. The new build makes you want to explore, to find out what is around the next corner.

The Central TP in Point

 I didn't stay there long, just long enough to see the changes and do some minor exploration of the immediate area.

 

From my perspective there are ambient things missing, like background noises, birds, waves lapping onto a beach - yes there is a small beach there, yet I suspect, that as with any major build or alteration, its a work in-progress.
